Black chipboard is a solid chipboard that has been made black on one or both sides through dyeing or surface coating. The base material can be recycled grey chipboard or kraft chipboard, with black dye or a black coating added to create an even black appearance.
Common Types
Dyed Black Grey Chipboard: Black dye is added during the production of grey chipboard, making the entire board black. It is generally more cost-effective, although the color may be slightly less uniform.
Coated Black chipboard: A black water-based coating is applied to the surface of grey chipboard or kraft chipboard, creating a smoother, more even, and deeper black finish.
Dyed Black Kraft Chipboard: Kraft chipboard is dyed black throughout. It offers higher strength and a more natural black appearance.
